Water
Emoto, who showed that water exposed to different words, prayers and music could form radically different ice crystals. Love and gratitude created stunning snowflake like structures while hate and fear produced chaotic fractured ones. Does that mean water responds to emotion? Could all the hate in the world would be responsible for the bad weather?

Wisdom
Not every battle needs words. Some are best met with stillness. Because people give what they carry, and if they carry hurt, they’ll hand out hurt. But I don’t have to take it. I choose not to echo their pain. I choose not to become what wounded them. I move on. Not in weakness but wisdom.

Parent’s Day
Name
Your carry your parent’s name. Any good you do by it reflects on the family. A good family name is respected in society for a reason; you each earned it by how you treated your fellowman. Understand that sometimes it meant sacrificing some needs and dreams which makes your name even more precious. Pass it on.
A good name is to be chosen rather than great riches, Loving favor
rather than silver and gold.

As we stitch our way through this quilt of life, I’m so glad so many of my friends have their very own block that continues to cover me with their prayers and friendship when my burdens weigh me down. I try to do the same for them.

Evil
Evil does not exist for itself. It is like darkness and cold—a man-made word to describe the absence of God. God did not create evil. Evil is not faith or love, which exist as light and warmth. Evil is the result of the absence of Divine love in the human heart. It's the kind of cold that comes when there is no heat, or the kind of darkness that comes when there's no light.

Water
We see the world through our eyes which are mostly water. We are born when our mother’s water breaks and we die when water leaves us, when hydration and flow cease. Water is with us from our first breath to our last.
But whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life.”

Understanding
The world is filled with people who feel qualified to correct what they do not understand; to dismiss what they have never studied and to reject what they have never experienced. We can only perceive to the limits of our own awareness. Interesting how we hisitate to see past the edges of our own understanding.

Rest
Self-neglect is more vile a sin than self-love. Take care of you first if you want to take care of others the way you would really want. Self -care means giving yourself permission to pause and rest; and it’s not being self-indulgent, it is self-preservation.
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”

Refused
Ida B Wells refused to give up her seat on a train to Memphis in May, 1884, 71 years before Rosa Parks. She started what would become the NAACP then left the organization due to their lack of action-based initiatives. Her father, James, was involved with the Freedman’s Aid Society and helped start Shaw University, a school for the newly freed slaves (now Rust College.) She and her parents were registered Republicans who passed legislation to free slaves which started the Civil War. Why do we never hear about all of her efforts? (1862/1931)
For every creature of God is good, and nothing is to be refused if it is received with thanksgiving.
